2026 Fall Color Guard Info

Want to learn something new and make friends? If so, you should try out for color guard! We teach you everything you need to know!

All clinics and tryouts will be held in the SSHS Cafeteria. Students should wear athletic clothing/tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.

(You will audition in groups, not by yourself!)

For those who make the team, there will be three required rehearsals at the end of May. These three rehearsals are only for the color guard. At the end of the summer, there will be rehearsals that involve the entire band. All dates are listed below:

Spring Mini Camp with Full Band:

Wednesday, May 27th, 9:00am-6:00pm, SSHS Band Room
Thursday, May 28th, 9:00am-6:00pm, SSHS Band Room
Friday, May 29th, 9:00am-6:00pm, SSHS Band Room

Summer Band Rehearsals (Required for All Members):

Monday-Friday, July 20-24, SSHS
Monday-Friday, July 27-July 31, SSHS
Monday-Friday, August 3-7, SSHS

Fall rehearsal dates and times will be communicated at tryouts. In the fall semester, you must enroll in Marching Band as a class. We can take care of any schedule changes that you may need once the team is determined. We look forward to seeing you there!
